Reflection: Image, Shadow, and Echo...

In the natural world, light always reflects a true image. But what about the things that images cannot express? Emotions that cannot be clearly described with words alone—those that take root in the subconscious and manifest in reality through other means.

With this idea in mind, we take a step further, transforming the experience of bipolar disorder into the imagery of monsters, simulating the patient’s suffering through fantasy battles. Mania and depression inflict symmetrical damage on the patient, like mirrored reflections, yet their emotional experiences are entirely opposite—forming an endlessly rotating circular symbol. Most patients long to find balance within the gaps of this cycle. While light in reality travels in straight lines, the medium of a game allows us to express these struggles in an imaginative way.

Furthermore, discovering one’s “other half” is a crucial part of self-healing. This counterpart is like a reflection, responding to and complementing the aspects of ourselves that we usually overlook. Through this form of self-observation, we move toward a more complete version of ourselves, overcoming difficulties and embracing the core idea of "saving oneself."
